Canadian Certified Pedorthists are required to hold a University Undergraduate Degree in Health Sciences. They then complete a graduate program with courses taught through the University of Western Ontario. They must complete 3500 hours of directly supervised practical experience involving;

Therapeutic Footwear Selection, Fitting & Modification
Lower Limb Biomechanics and Evaluation
Foot Pathology and Gait Analysis

Why a Pedorthist?

Pedorthists are the only profession specifically focused on the evaluation of the biomechanincs of the lower limb and the manufacturing, and modification of custom foot orthotics and footwear, to treat biomechanical problems.
